New iMac Display
The new iMac is all about the display. The new product line is all LED-backlit glass with IPS technology and a stunning 178° viewing angle. The glass screen runs edge-to-edge with a new 16:9 aspect ratio making it perfect for watching movies.
The new 27” display delivers a resolution of 2560 x 1440, an increase of 60% pixels compared with the previous 24” model. The new 21.5” display delivers a resolution of 1920 x 1080, that’s 17% more pixels than the previous 20” model.
The iMac 27” also features a Display Port connector that supports in/out connectivity. Connect a MacBook Pro or MacBook to use the iMac screen as an external display. A third-party cable will be required (sold separately) to support this feature. For convenience, the iMac also comes with a SD-card slot built right in to the side of the screen next to the Super Drive.
