Connect a compatible global positioning system (GPS) unit such as the Garmin eTrex Vista Cx or Garmin eTrex Venture to your computer (Windows only), and use Logger Pro to collect latitude, longitude, and elevation data.
You can also take the GPS out into the field without a computer. Save your locations as waypoints, tracks, or routes and then import them into Logger Pro at a later time.

Garmin eTrex Vista Cx (USB Connection)
The Garmin eTrex Vista Cx is a powerful, feature-packed mapping GPS unit. It communicates with Logger Pro using the included USB cable (Logger Pro version 3.4.6 or newer, Windows only). The eTrex Vista Cx is loaded with popular features, including a barometric altimeter, electronic compass, sunlight-readable color screen and advanced GPS routing capabilities—all in a waterproof design. In addition, it comes with a blank 64 MB microSD card for storage of optional map detail.
The Garmin eTrex Vista Cx includes eTrex Vista Cx, PC USB cable, 64 MB microSD card, lanyard, bike clip, owner's manual, and quick-reference guide.
Garmin eTrex Venture (PC Serial Connection)
The Garmin eTrex Venture is economical, lightweight, and rugged. It offers a worldwide database of cities and will provide position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) corrections.
